What follows is our ever expanding collection of essays by Hakim Bey, a.k.a. Peter
Lamborn Wilson, one of our favorite contemporary philosopher poet visionaries, perhaps
best known as the author of the seminal essay T.A.Z., The Temporary Autonomous
Zone. We eagerly join Bey in his promotion of ontological anarchism, any
brand of anarchy, art sabotage and poetic terrorism. We crash his celebration of chaos,
pyrotechnics, anything gypsy or pirate. We say "right on" to his communiqués
regarding media, the ragged remnants of the avante garde (avante-garde), post modernism
and the implications of the return of the paleolithic. We are particularly intrigued by
Bey's work, Immediatism, wherein he analyzes the mechanisms by
which all experience is mediated, in particular, the mediating role of art, and proposes
the possibility of experience immediate. All text is HTML & Frames, sorry no
