The new tech investment comes after 18 months of global supply chain disruption and stress from the COVID-19 pandemic, prompting Dole and other consumer packaged goods companies to reassess their systems.

Sensibill, FreeAgent partner on receipt automation

Customer data platform Sensibill has partnered with cloud accounting software provider FreeAgent to help businesses manage business expenses such as receipts, according to a press release.

The companies are looking to help small businesses automate and organize their finances, accounting and taxes, the release said.

Through the use of Sensibill technology within the FreeAgent solution, automatic retrieval technology can be used to capture, organize and categorize receipts and attach them to corresponding bank transactions, the statement said.

Plate IQ teams up with Foodbuy Foodservice on discounts

Foodservice supply and supply chain company Foodbuy Foodservice announced a partnership with hospitality-focused automation and expense management (AP) company Plate IQ, according to a press release on Thursday. August 26.

According to the statement, Plate IQ customers will now receive discounts on restaurant supplies through the Foodbuy foodservice manufacturers rebate program.
